In 2006, the BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) reported average annual earnings of salary and wage auditors and accountants were $54,500, with the middle 50 percent earning between $42,500 and $71,500, and the top 10 percent earning more than $94,000, with the bottom 10 percent earning less than $34,500.
