Online Bachelor Degree Elementary Education
Teachers act as coaches by using classroom lectures or one-on-one instruction to help students learn and use concepts in subjects such as mathematics, science, or English. They plan, assess, and assign lessons; prepare, give out, and grade tests; listen to oral presentations; and maintain classroom decorum. Teachers observe and assess a student’s performance and promise and are continually asked to use new evaluation methods. Opportunities are available to use theories, concepts, and research throughout the program. Each course’s assignments guide students through practice-based and observational and experiences. Students are required to have access to a Gr. K-8 classroom to meet the program assignments. Students must be ready to finish a full-time 16 week student teaching module at the conclusion of the program. Program graduates are ready to become informed teachers in private and public schools and other environments requiring a teaching credential. The student should check with the University Catalog and an academic advisor regarding current procedures and policies involved with teacher credentialing program. You may be a bit apprehensive about returning to school. You may not be confident that you have the computer skills required to participate in online courses. Distance learning can meet many needs that traditional classroom education cannot. For a lot people, distance learning is the only way that they can find the time to work on a degree. You have the flexibility to earn your degree at any time, and anywhere, provided that you have internet access. Also, you do not have a rigid schedule, unless you are participating in a live web-based course. You do not waste time commuting to a campus or stress about missing class while you are stuck in traffic.
