BS in Elementary Education - English

The Bachelor of Science in Education in Elementary Education (Eligible for Credential) is a program developed for anybody who wants to teach children in the Grade K-8 environment, and desires a teaching certificate. The format and courses of the state and regionally accredited program are designed to meet the requirements of the adult learner and to capitalize on the skills and knowledge students already possess. Classes are lead by experts in their respective fields who impart knowledge and experience in subjects such as teaching methods, reading strategies, educational psychology, and curriculum development.

Opportunities are available to use theories, concepts, and research throughout the program. Each course’s assignments guide students through practice-based and observational and experiences. Students are required to have access to a Gr. K-8 classroom to meet the program assignments. Students must be ready to finish a full-time 16 week student teaching module at the conclusion of the program. Program graduates are ready to become informed teachers in private and public schools and other environments requiring a teaching credential. A/Organizational Management - Elementary Education

The Organizational Management program looks at the human side of managing organizations, enabling skill development in group behavior, decision-making, communication, human resource management, and ethics.
